To me, stupidity and ignorance although very similar are not quite the same thing.
Both being stupid and being ignorant can lead to you taking the same action, or lack of action as the case may be. But the reasons behind it will be very different.
Stupidity is doing something even though you know it’s not the right thing to do. People who are stupid have the knowledge but choose to ignore it…
For example, a Recruitment or Search Firm Owner who isn’t happy with the performance of their business, who also knows there are things they could at least be testing to get better results (like joining the ‘Recruitment Marketing Academy’ for instance). But still doesn’t do anything about it, is plain stupid.
On the other hand… Ignorance is just not knowing what to do… It’s lack of knowledge, rather than having knowledge but choosing to ignore it.
For example, a Recruitment or Search Firm Owner who is struggling to get all the clients they need, is struggling to generate leads and who is sick and tired of working with bad clients… But who doesn’t know a quick and simple solution like the ‘Recruitment Marketing Academy’ exists isn’t stupid… They’re just ignorant…
And as comedian Ron White says: “You can’t fix stupid” but ignorance is reparable…
