Another cliché

 

There’s an old, clichéd saying that goes:

“Fail to plan, plan to fail”

And like most old, clichéd sayings… It’s pretty spot on in many cases.

If you don’t set goals or targets… You have nothing to work towards and you just sort of drift along through life…

Your life AND business get pulled in random directions rather than you controlling what happens…

But even if you do set goals, you’re very unlikely to reach them unless you have a step by step plan to help you get there…

This is one of the big mistakes I see Recruitment and Search Business Owners make…

They usually have goals or a target they want to reach…

But the plan they’re working to is going to make achieving that goal a lot harder than it needs to be… And in the most extreme cases, it makes reaching that goal impossible…

They want more freedom in their business, but then end up working harder and longer hours the more the business grows…

They have a goal of generating more revenue but end up with yo-yo up and down incomes…

They have a goal of building a team but end up hiring consultant after consultant who underperforms and costs the business money…

They have a goal of building a business they enjoy but end up working with clients they hate…

If any of this sounds remotely similar to what you’re experiencing, these are all signs you’re working to the wrong plan!
