Get uncomfortable

A remember reading an article online somewhere that was interviewing several well-known entrepreneurs about the “secrets” to their success…

There were lots of gems in there, but one thing that stood out to me was this quote…

“The more you can find things that make you uncomfortable and do them anyway the more you’ll find things your competitors aren’t willing to do…”

I don’t have to know anything about you personally to know that there  are probably things in your Recruitment/Search Business that you’re uncomfortable with…

Things that intellectually you know you should be doing or at least testing but for whatever reason they’re thing that are are outside of your comfort zone…

And because they’re outside your comfort zone… You don’t do them or don’t do them as often as you should…

This could be anything from posting regularly on social media…

Raising your fees…

Firing that underperforming employee…

Hiring in that one area that could free up so much of your time…

Marketing your business…

You know what it is for you… And chances are there’s more than one thing….  

The point to this is… The things you find uncomfortable are probably the same things your competitors find uncomfortable…

So the more of those things you do the more get ahead of the game.
