How to make people NEED your services

I remember when Apple released their first iPad, I swore I would never get one. It was just like carrying around a giant iPhone that couldn’t make calls or fit in your pocket.

I couldn’t see the point of them…

And I know I wasn’t the only one.

At the time, I saw it as a pointless gadget that no one would buy because they didn’t need it.

I now own one, have done for many years.

I’ve since bought one for my wife,

And one for my two youngest sons as well.

I took some convincing. But it became something I wanted to own.

I don’t NEED a tablet though.

Not many people do.

We got on just fine without them for years.

And if they disappeared tomorrow it wouldn’t really make that much difference to my life and the lives of others who use them.

Apple had to work hard to convince me and the rest of the market that tablets were things we WANT to have.

Thats where you’re lucky.

With very few exceptions, no matter what market you’re in, your potential clients will eventually have a need for your services.

Someone leaves a position, the company expands, a department gets an increased budget…there are lots of reasons your clients will eventually need your Recruitment or Search Service.

It’s not a matter of IF, but WHEN.

So if your ideal clients aren’t buying from you (or buying as often as you would like) it’s not because they don’t have a NEED for your services, it’s because they’re buying from one of your competitors instead!

You’re simply NOT the preferred choice…

But it doesn’t have to be that way.
