I messed up BIG time with a client recently…
I won’t go into the details of what I did. But I believe me when I say…
I MESSED UP!
It wasn’t anything to do with marketing.
Or anything to do with business really.
But I made a mistake nonetheless.
And my client wasn’t happy.
He even wanted to cancel one of my programs… Even though he was getting results in his business. And you know what, I don’t actually blame him.
Here’s the thing…
Mistakes will happen for a number of reasons. And when they do, you have two choices about how you deal with it.
Option 1. You pass all blame and responsibility to someone else. The government, your parents, your partner, your kids… You can pretty much find someone to blame for every problem in your life if you look hard enough.
Or,
Option 2. You can face it head on, take ALL responsibility, LEARN from it and fix the problem, so you don’t make the same mistake again. When you make a mistake, or something goes wrong in life or business.
It’s a sign that something in the process needs fixing.
And if you don’t fix it, it’s very likely the same mistake or problem is going to rear it’s ugly little head again later on down the line. It’s impossible to fix something you don’t have control of… that’s why although “Option 1” is probably the easiest and most comfortable choice, you’ll likely face bigger consequences later on down the line.
The reason I bring this up is because whether you know it or not. If you’re like most Recruitment and Search Firm owners I know, you’re making some big mistakes in your Recruitment or Search business.
And the mistakes you’re making are potentially costing you thousands in lost business revenue and profits.
Lack of leads,
Underperforming consultants,
Bad clients,
Slow or no business growth,
Slow paying clients,
Struggling to get new business,
All of these are symptoms of mistakes you’re making! And you have two options… You can blame someone else and pass on all the responsibility.
Or you can face them head on, join the Recruitment Marketing Academy and work on fixing them for good.
Speak to you soon,
Until then…
Take care, take action and be relentless…
