It doesn’t seem that long ago that I was teaching my eldest how to walk…
And all of sudden, he’s 27 years old…
His girlfriend is three and a half months pregnant and pretty soon I’ll be a Grandad…
Time flies, eh?
This got me thinking back to before he was born…
When I first found I was going to be a dad…
As you might expect… I was both happy and excited…
But almost overshadowing the happiness and excitement… was FEAR!
I was shit scared….
Literally petrified…
And if you’re a parent you can probably relate to this….
Although having a child is possibly the most rewarding thing you’ll ever do in your life…
It’s also probably the biggest responsibility you can ever shoulder… For 18 years you’re basically in charge of someone else’s life…
They completely rely on you…. Especially in the early years….
It’s a massive commitment!
Fear and commitment go hand in hand…
If you’re not feeling a similar fear about your Recruitment or Search Business, then you’re probably not pushing yourself enough…
You probably haven’t committed to achieving anything BIG!
And that’s not a criticism, some people are just happy meandering along, and that’s fine, for them…
But if you’re the sort of person that likes to see continuous improvement, you’re going to have to commit to bigger goals, take on bigger challenges and push yourself beyond what’s comfortable…
