I remember reading an email from a guy called Ben Settle a while back, a copywriter and direct response marketer based in the States…
He’s someone I’ve followed in the marketing world for some time so you may have heard me mention him before…
Anyway… This particular email was about spotting the difference between a winner and a loser…
His argument was… “Losers are always looking for a magic pill.” And I agree with him 100%…
What he means is, losers are always looking for that quick fix but aren’t willing to put the work in to get results…
For example: People who want to lose weight, go the to the gym three or four times and then whine about how it’s “not working!!!!”
Or…
People who aren’t paid enough in their job, but instead of actually doing something about it, (Like leaving or further educating themselves so they’re of more value to the company the work for)… They just moan about how their boss mistreats them or how we need to increase minimum wage…
Or …
Recruitment or Search Business Owners who aren’t getting the results they want in their business but instead of rolling their sleeves up and developing their knowledge and skills… They piss and moan about their competitors, bad clients, underperforming consultants or the economy…
I could go on…
Losers want all their problems to be solved but don’t want to put the effort in to solve them.
You’ll see them everywhere…
Winners on the other had, have the exact same problems and challenges as the losers, but instead of just moaning and whining about it… They do something!
They’re not looking for a ‘magic pill’ because they know that anything that’s worth having in life is going to take some work…
They know it’s not going to come easy… They know there will be a price to pay in the form of commitment, dedication and determination and they’re prepared to pay it…
Anyway, I don’t have the ‘magic pill’.
I can probably make growing your business a hell of a lot easier than it is now, but it’s still going to take some work from you…
If you’re someone who has no drive, no desire to work hard, a crap attitude, can’t think for yourself or who won’t apply the info as taught… it’s not for you.
For everyone else?
