More urgency required

 

I had an interesting conversation with Drew about behaviour earlier today…

You see…

We often meet and speak to recruitment and Search business owners who say they want to grow their business, say they want more clients, say they want higher fees…

But their behaviour says otherwise…

We’re all the same, even me…

Most of the time it happens without us really noticing…

So every now and then it pays to take a step back and reassess what your behaviour is really saying…

Think about this…

You’re probably following my work because you’re a Recruitment or Search business owner who wants to grow or because you want better results in your business…

And you probably think you’re behaving like a Recruitment or Search Business Owner who wants just that…

Doing everything you can to achieve that goal…

But let’s imagine for a second that tomorrow a masked stranger knocks on your door and says your business has to grow otherwise you’ll never see your family again…

Would you do things differently to what you did today, yesterday or the day before?

For most the answer would be “yes”, they’d make more calls, send more emails, they’d do more!

They’d simply be more urgency…

And so ‘growth’ is more likely to happen at a faster rate…

So if you really wanted to grow, why weren’t you doing all that stuff before the knock at your door?

This isn’t a criticism, it’s something we all do at different levels…

Behaviour tells the truth, words almost always don’t…

So think about your behaviour over the past few months… Has it really been in line with what you tell yourself and other people?

Or have you got more to give?
