Direct Mail…

Good old fashioned, unsexy letters through the post…

It’s something hardly anyone does enough of… (Including me)

And even on the few occasions you see a business doing it… It’s almost always crap…

But done right, it’s without a doubt one of the most effective and profitable ways not only to win new business, but also to keep the business you’ve already won…

In truth even crap direct mail can be profitable… And it certainly performs better than no direct mail…

So let me ask you: when you’re planning marketing campaigns, or lead generation campaigns, do you ever consider using direct mail?

No?

Why?

And don’t tell me “it’s too expensive”. It’s not about cost, it’s about ROI. If you send out a direct mail campaign that brings you in 10 new clients, and it costs you £100 per client, that might seem “expensive”. But if those clients are each worth £1000 to you, why on earth wouldn’t you send out that campaign?

That’s a huge return on your investment…

This is the mistake most Recruitment and Search Business Owners make: they think marketing is just blindly flinging money at the next shiny object, and hoping that some of it sticks…

Nope.

Good marketing, effective marketing, is all about trying stuff, finding what works, and then doing more of it. And direct mail works. Partly because nobody else is bloody doing it!

Marketing isn’t a cost, it’s an investment. It’s not about setting a budget and spending it; that’s stupid. It’s about working out your numbers, your cost-per-customer, and your lifetime customer value. Think of it as buying customers…

That alone will make your marketing more effective, because you’ll make sure you only put your money where it does the most good…

And I’m willing to bet direct mail will do you some good…

Especially if you can come up with something fun to send…

And I know somebody who can help you with that. My mate Mo at Club Row Creations.

I only recommend people I work with myself, and trust; and Mo and Russell are the only people I’d go to for promo goods because it’s not just cheap shite. They come up with good ideas for campaigns, beyond the usual free pen or fridge magnet…

Go over to Club Row Creations and see what’s on offer.

Then be brave, step out of your comfort zone, and put a direct mail campaign together. If you do it well, and target the right people, it’ll make you money.

Take care, take action and be relentless…

PS I’m not an affiliate for Mo, or anything like that. I won’t get anything for recommending him. I’m just recommending him because he’s done such a good job for me.
