Because all your clients really care about are themselves, their problems and how to fix them…
They don’t care about how long you’ve been in business…
They don’t care about what you did before you got into the industry…
They don’t care about what you do in your spare time…
They’re looking out for number one….
Now you know this… If you want your prospects to pay attention to your marketing and actually act on it…
It’s important to remember that you are not your client….
Your marketing is not about you… It’s about the people whose money you want…
So your instead on focussing on you and what you do, your marketing needs to focus on your clients and their problems…
You may be the best in the world at what you do… If your marketing doesn’t clearly show your potential clients how you can solve their problems, you’re going to get ignored…
Imagine going on a date with someone new and all they did was talk about themselves the whole time…
It’s unlikely they’d make it to date number two, right?
And if all your marketing does is talk about you and your business you’re getting the exact same treatment…
Dumped after the first date!
So look at all your marketing from your website, to your business card, to your ads… If all you do is bang on about yourself, what you do and how amazing you are at it. Believe me when I say you’re turning your potential clients off…
