Just over a year ago…
At the begging of October 2015…
I received an email that had me almost speechless, and it just so happened to pop into my head today…
It was from a Search Firm owner who had made the decision NOT to join me on one of my programs…
There’s nothing wrong with that… The Renegade Recruiter is not for everyone!
But what shocked me was the reason he gave for not joining…
You see, this guy was pissed off with the way his business had been performing for the past 5 years or so.
Pissed off with the amount of clients he had,
Pissed with the being forced to lower his fees,
Pissed off with about 20% of his team who were underperforming and costing the business money,
Just pissed off,
It wasn’t that he was struggling…
He was generating enough income to feed his family… Well into six figures.
But he wanted more!
At least he claimed he wanted more… But his actions tell me something very different!
You see, the reason he didn’t join my program wasn’t that he didn’t like me,
It wasn’t the price,
It wasn’t even that he thought it wasn’t going to work for him in his business,
It was because he wanted to start “winding down for the end of the year”!
WTF??
Winding down for the end of the year?… In October!?
With almost a whole quarter still left to go!
I could understand if had this exchange been at the beginning or middle of December. But he had two whole months left before then…
A lot can be achieved in two months!…
A few weeks after receiving his email, one of my clients told me that from October to December, she had turned over the same amount as she did for the whole of the previous year….
And this guy wanted to wind down??
It’s up to you how seriously you take your business,
If you want to wind down for the end of the year in October, or even June it’s up to you…
But don’t come complaining to me when you’re pissed off with the results you’re getting….
Myself and the Recruitment/Search Firm owners who are smart enough to take my advice will be pushing through right until the end of the year… We won’t necessarily be working IN the business, but we’ll be working ON the business, so we have a pipeline full of hot leads to work with…
