Read a Facebook post this week from a colleague of mine called Alex Charfen… It said:
“In moments of panic and overwhelm, one constant keeps entrepreneurs like you and me grounded, present, and magnetic: Process.
Process is what sets you free in your business, and it is what creates momentum for you in challenging times.
The market right now is volatile, overwhelming, and scary, but there is hope for entrepreneurs around the world in process.”
His post was aimed at all business owners, but I think it’s something Recruitment and Search Business Owners need to pay particular attention to… Especially now!
Nearly every Recruitment or Search Business worth their salt has a process for finding a candidate and filling a vacancy…
But they lack a WORKING and reliable process in almost every other area of their business…
They don’t have a working process for finding and bringing in new talent and so end up with consultant after consultant who underperforms and costs the business money…
They don’t have a predictable process for winning new business and so don’t know where their next client is coming from…
They don’t have an effective sales process and so even when they do win business its for fees less than they deserve, unfavourable terms and usually competing with multiple other firms to fill the same role…
