This still keeps me awake at night

A few years ago whilst in a bar in London with some friends… A local street magician approached me…

He wanted to try out a few of his new tricks on a small audience so he could see their reaction first hand…

Ever since I was a kid I’ve loved magic tricks… I can even do a couple of ammeter card tricks myself….

This guy was no ammeter though…

He was a pro…

Within just a few minutes all eyes around me were fixated on him…

The audience were hanging onto his every word as he performed trick after trick, leaving us all dumfounded and wondering whether we had actually just witnessed what we saw… or if it was some kind of dream…

His final trick still occasionally keeps me awake at night wondering HOW he did it….

He took a £5 note from a volunteer, and very slowly rolled it into a tube so it was small enough to fit into his clenched fist…

He then squeezed it tight, said a few “magic” words and asked a member of the audience to blow 5 times on his wrist….

And then….

As he unclenched his hand and slowly unrolled the note… To mine, and everyone’s amazement, he had some how managed to turn it into a £50 note!

I’ve been trying to figure out how he did it for years… And I’ve never been able to get my head around EXACTLY how he did it… But I’ve discovered a method that comes quite close….

I know that there’s no such thing as magic, and in reality I was most likely deceived by some very clever slight of hand and distraction techniques…

But it got me thinking…

Growing your Recruitment/Staffing or Search business can work in the same way…

It’s a pretty tempting investment isn’t it?…

Most the Recruitment/Staffing and Search business owners I speak to behave differently…

They see marketing as an unwanted expense, when really it should be about buying clients…

It’s an investment… And probably the best investment you’ll ever make…

You spend money on generating leads… You convert a percentage of those into clients, and you turn the clients into profits…

Simple math…

But in order for the calculations to work in your favour… You’ve got to know your numbers… and you’ve go to have a PROVEN marketing and sales system!
