Zoom has been one of the companies to profit massively from this whole lockdown thing, becoming one of the top downloaded apps in the world and the video conferencing software of choice seemingly overnight…
The article focused on the success Zoom has had…
And they deserve credit for sure…
But what the article didn’t mention was the other video conferencing providers who may have had slight growth, but who overall missed out massively on a once in a lifetime opportunity…
There probably won’t be another time like this where (almost) the whole world’s simultaneously forced into needing a service they might have otherwise ignored…
So if you’re one of the video conferencing companies that didn’t capitalise you’d be kicking yourself right now…
Zoom’s success didn’t happen overnight; they’ve been setting themselves up for this behind the scenes for years…
Improving their offering, improving their marketing, pushing forward whilst their competitor’s slept…
I see a similar thing happening in Recruitment over the next few months…
Things have might slowed in a lot of sectors (to be very clear, I said ‘MIGHT’ and ‘SLOWED’, not “stopped”)…
Once we’re through the other side of this, I strongly believe demand is going to spike right back up…
BUT only the Recruitment and Search Business Owners who are doing the right things TODAY will capitalise on the opportunity (like Zoom)..
And the ones who do nothing will end up like one of the other video conferencing providers, largely irrelevant, ignored and kicking themselves that they missed out on what is a massive opportunity to dominate…
