Vince Lombardi, an American Football player and Coach, is quoted as saying “winning isn’t everything.”
You’ve probably heard it before, even if you didn’t know it’s origin…
Anyway, it’s actually a misquote (sort of) because he then followed it up with “But wanting to win damn sure is.”
The final part of this quote gives it a completely different meaning…
And you can quickly see just how badly someone wants to win by their actions, investments and “stretches”.
Especially when it comes to Recruitment and Search Firm Owners…
Most Recruitment and Search Firm Owners are nowhere near where they say they want to be…
In most cases, simply because they don’t want to be there bad enough.
They don’t really want to “win” and talk far more ambition than they actually exhibit…
This isn’t just unique to Recruitment, you’ll find the same in all walks of life…
People who want to become professional athletes but are unwilling to train every day…
People who want to lose weight but are not willing to change their diet…
People who want to grow their Recruitment or Search Business but are not willing to do anything about it…
Decision after decision after decision tells the true story.
No one truly dedicated to winning as big as they possibly could, no one truly committed to growing their business to its full potential would ever leave any stone unturned…
Anyway…
