Your Consultants Will FAIL

If you’ve just hired a new consultant…

Or you’re in the process of doing so…

Then this isn’t going to be something you’ll want to hear…

But the truth is… For most Recruitment and Search Business Owners, the chances are that any consultant they bring into the business will struggle and eventually fail…

I read somewhere once that the industry average is that just 1 in 3 actually make the business owner any money…

I can’t be entirely sure how accurate those numbers are, but if you look back at your past consultants…

Or if you worked for a Recruitment business before you went off on your own…

You’ll know that MOST consultants don’t work out and end up costing the business money…

Just this morning I spoke to a Recruitment business owner who calculated that over the past few years he’d hired 11 consultants….

Not one of them had worked out, and it had cost him in excess of £60,000.00

And thats without even calculating how much he could have made had he invested that £60K into other areas of his business….

The scary thing is… His numbers aren’t abnormal!

Thats “only” about £5K lost per consultant.

I speak to Recruitment and Search Business Owners daily, and I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve heard similar horror stories…

Here are some questions for you to think about…

Do you know what a “good” consultant looks like? – I asked this to a client recently, and they were unable to answer. Again, they’re not alone in this, but it’s something you need to know BEFORE you even think about hiring

Do you have a process for them to follow that ensure they’re successful? – You need a blueprint for all your new hires to follow that almost guarantees success. McDonald’s can hire pretty much anyone off the street and give them a process that produces the perfect burger

Do you have a proven system for winning new business? – If YOU (as the owner of the business) are still struggling to win enough new clients, don’t expect a consultant with less skill and experience than you to somehow be the magic answer you’re looking for
